John Galbraith's residence at Fort Steele
Robert L.T. Galbraith, owner of the Fort Steele townsite, was also a B.C. fruit inspector. Among other things he left was a record of fruits planted here in the 1895 era. With the assistance and interest of W. J. Boughen & Sons Limited in 1996 we grafted scion wood onto hardy root stock. In the spring of 1998 we planted sixty two-year-old whips selected from the list below.
